Window and door manufacturer: What are the benefits of thermal-break aluminum doors and windows?

When renovating a new home, doors and windows are essential decorative materials, as their role cannot be overlooked. Today, the market offers an ever-growing variety of door and window brands and styles. Yet, when it comes to making a purchase, consumers often find themselves confused and uncertain—unsure which brand to choose, which one is better, and which offers high quality. Everyone wants to select doors and windows that are both affordable and durable, perfectly suited to their needs. So, what are the advantages of thermal-break aluminum doors and windows?

Window and door manufacturer: What are the benefits of thermal-break aluminum doors and windows?

  1. Condensation Prevention: The inner surface temperature of profiles equipped with thermal break strips is close to the indoor temperature, reducing the likelihood of condensation forming on the profile surface due to oversaturation of indoor moisture.

  2. Energy Efficiency: In winter, window frames equipped with thermal break strips can reduce heat loss through the window frame by one-third. In summer, when air conditioning is used, such window frames further minimize energy loss. Environmental Benefits: The application of thermal insulation systems can lower energy consumption and reduce the environmental impact caused by air conditioning and heating systems.

  3. Beneficial to Health: The heat exchange between the human body and the environment depends on the indoor air temperature, air velocity, and outdoor air temperature. By adjusting doors and windows to maintain an indoor temperature no lower than 12–13°C, a comfortable environment is achieved.

Door and Window Manufacturer: Installation Precautions for Thermal Break Aluminum Doors and Windows

  1. The installation of doors and windows must be secure and firm. The positions, connection methods, and quantities of embedded parts must all meet the requirements of the overall design and must not easily deviate from these specifications. Once the wall surface has been completed using wet-work techniques and has fully hardened, doors, windows, and glass can be installed. During installation, the method of using pre-reserved openings should be adopted. The ambient temperature during installation must not fall below 5 degrees Celsius.

  2. When fixing the window frame, use plastic expansion bolts. Be sure to first secure the top frame and then the side frames. Holes containing embedded iron parts should be welded. When installing composite windows, it is necessary to set embedded parts or leave reserved holes at the opening locations of the composite windows to ensure better window fixation.

  3. Openings with embedded iron parts should be welded. First, drill a pilot hole in the embedded part, then secure it using fasteners. When connecting the two-component material to brick walls at both ends, insert both ends of the two-component material into the pre-reserved holes and then fix them with C20 fine aggregate concrete. If doors and windows are connected to the wall using embedded wooden blocks, the wooden blocks must first undergo anti-corrosion treatment to ensure the longevity of the windows. Make sure the surfaces of doors and windows are clean and free of scratches, and strictly prohibit hanging heavy objects on them.

  4. For the gaps between window frames, elastic materials such as closed-cell foam or expanding foam agents should be used to fill the spaces and then sealed with sealant. For projects with particularly high requirements for thermal insulation and soundproofing, it is advisable to choose straw-based materials that offer relatively better thermal and acoustic performance to fill the gaps.
